SDI CA 240 Chemistry Analyzer

SDI Biomed's latest tool for small to mid-size labs is the CA240 analyzer. The CA240 is truly the next generation of random access clinical chemistry analyzers. Designed with the capability to run samples 24 hours a day, the CA240 provides refrigerated reagent storage, 40 available reagent positions, sample cup or primary tube sampling and permanent Quartz reaction cuvettes! As the smaller version of SDI's CA480 Analyzer, the CA240 uses the same easy software and reliable components now placed in over 600 laboratories worldwide. All orders, from a single test to an entire daily workload, are performed with the same speed and efficiency. User friendly software requires minimal operator input to run independently. The CA240 is sure to quickly become an indispensable tool in Physician Office Laboratories.
OPERATIONAL FEATURES:
Analysis Speed:
Up to 240 tests per hour throughput from 90 direct ISE and 150 optical measurements
Reaction Cuvettes:
Permanent Quartz cuvettes are washed and jet-dried after each use.
On-Board Water Supply:
All required solutions for daily operation including Wash, ISE's and Waste are on-board.
Sample Capacity:
30 Primary tubes or sample cups in 3 separate trays for continuous loading.
Reagent Capacity:
40 reagent positions on 2 separate trays are operator programmed or bar code assigned.
20 reagent positions are refrigerated 2-8° and 20 stored at room temperature.
STAT Ready:
STAT samples processed within 10 minutes without stopping routine analysis.
Continuous Operation:
Up to 240 samples can be scheduled and loaded in a continuous analysis cycle.
Walk-Away Analysis:
Once requests are programmed, the analyzer operates independently by washing and reusing the permanent cuvettes until the schedule is completed and results are automatically printed.
Automatic Re-Runs:
Results exceeding outside linear range are automatically diluted and repeated for accuracy.
Constant Reagent Status Monitoring:
Remaining tests are calculated and displayed each time the probe aspirates a reagent.
On Board Lifetime Monitoring:
Open reagent stabilities are monitored and displayed to aid in usage compliance.
Internal QC System:
Unlimited QC's may be programmed with daily results automatically stored internally on the hard disk. QC results available for review, graphing and CLIA compliant printing of up to 3 months of daily QC results.
LIS Ready:
Analyzer is delivered ready to transmit with LIS program interfaces already written for many programs such as SchuyLab, Medcom Lab Manager, Fletcher-Flora & Lab-Daq.
Patient Result Archives:

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3ul and maximum 50 µl (in 1µl increments).

OPTICAL ANALYSIS
Samples are mixed and measured mono or bi-chromatically in 39 quartz cuvettes immersed in a 37°C continuously circulating, temperature controlled water bath with a built-in photometer and 8 individual wavelengths.
LIGHT SOURCE
A calibrated Quartz-Halogen lamp & a pre-calibrated Spare Lamp are installed on a flip-switch to simplify replacement and minimize downtime.
